Heleborus are the first flowers in our garden and they are not (hele)boring at all. Look at the diversity of their colors, shapes of the petals (doted or striped), and the variety of stamina and carpels. These photos are from spring last year.
Liebe Mitza. Deine Bilder sind unglaublich schön. Tolle Farben!!
It’s really funny how people react on these photos. Everybody is longing for spring and some colors outside. I guess the sun has been here today, Thomas, sorry you have to wait, hehe. Wish you a lot of sun on the week-end, regards Mitza
They are most beautiful flowers, a great variety like you say Mitza. Lovely macro photos too. I have some Hellebores in the front garden but they have not flowered yet this year.
Thank you, Agnes. It’s quite hard and expensive, too, to find special helebores. These photos were made last year. Now ours have blossoms but it’s too cold yet to come out. But we had sun today!! Hope you have a sunny week-end, too, regards Mitza
Thanks, Judie. We had snow yesterday and overnight freezing rain, terrible, but now it starts to melt. Had a fleamarket today and I’m very tired. Virtual hugs Mitza
Absolute beauties! A most wonderful variety of colors, details, shapes, perfectly designed by nature! I always tend to get lost looking at flowers, there is so much for the eyes to see and experience! They exude such happiness and they are really showing it up with all the colors of the rainbow! Stunning shots Mitza, love, love your flowers, thanks for sharing your garden with us! Have a most wonderful weekend! ~ Eva
Yes, that’s nature at it’s best, Eva, and you are sensitive enough to feel so deeply what flowers want to show us and what I want to express. I’m very happy that I “met” you in wordpress. I had a busy day today, selling on a fleamarket and I’m very tired now, wish you a wonderful week, too, kind regards Mitza
I love hellebores (even though it is summer here I have one in full bloom in my garden at the moment) they always bring me immense cheer with their delightful and delicate patterns!
Wow, I’m a bit jealous that you have summer, but the helebores can stay for some months and they are always an eye-catcher in every garden. Enjoy the plants and the summer, regards Mitza
I enjoyed your heleborus photos. Especially because I know how shy heleborus is with its flowers. Always facing downward. Excellent patience and skill to capture those wonderful flowers–such variety, such color, such detail. Thank you!
Yes, you are right, the heleborus seems to be shy, bending it’s head downwards. I took a stick to show their beauties. We enjoy our heleborus variety every year anew. Have a wonderful week-end, regards Mitza

Mitza

It’s colorless, wintry, and grey here, so your flowers are appreciated!
