This time I want to show you a photo of a very beautiful old castle. Half of the photo is the castle ditch and the rest is the castle with old trees. The calm water made a beautiful reflection.
This castle is called “Schloss Ahrensburg” and was a former mansion. The original was built in 1595 and received it’s current look in 1759. It is a very famous Renaissance building. (Wikipedia) Close by there’s also an old mill, an old church and royal stables. I took this photo in late autumn which gives it a rather melancholic atmosphere, which I like a lot.
Nice photo Mitza. I imagine it is nice to visit or live in Europe with access to the rich history, buildings and culture.

Yes, Brad, that’s true. We have thousands of years of culture in Europe, which I enjoy in every country I visit. Thanks for your nice comment and approval, regards Mitza

Wonderful, Brad, don’t forget Germany. You read Natalie’s post about her trip to France and Germany? And Greece is beautiful, too….. 🙂

Thanks for liking my photo. This castle is rather harmless. No evil ghosts etc. It is guarded by two frightening lions out of stone. Maybe that helps, hehe.

Very interesting treatment of this beautiful place. It looks chilly!

Yes, Judie, in former times it must have been quite chilly in the wintertime, as they didn’t have any heating only a fireplace. Hope you are fine, virtual hugs, Mitza

Stefanie

Vielen Dank, liebe Stefanie.
