Hello again, dear friends and followers, I have been in Greece (Kefalonia) for a month. This was a very warm month due to the fantastic weather and warmhearted Greek people. When I woke-up in the morning the endlessly blue sky was greeting me, the sun warmed my heart, the earth and all the wonderful flowers, trees and animals that live there. One morning we went to a beach where a quince tree was growing which had lost some fruits, which attracted all kinds of wonderful butterflies. Due to the heat, these insects are moving quickly and it took a lot of patience to photograph them. One of them was really huge and even more beautiful outside than inside. These photos are still from last year. This year I took more than 1000 photos which have to be processed by me in the next days and weeks. I have found a lot of old doors again and some cats and dogs, etc.
Good to have you back. Looking forward to your new photos! ;->
Virtual hugs,
Judie

I know you like insects a lot. But I didn’t know your “old” bones are looking forward to some old doors. I still have several hundreds for you, hehe. 🙂

I’m very appreciative of others’ hobbies and interests. We watch American Pickers (about collecting old, rusty, “valuable” treasures); Mike and Frank, in the show, would go nuts over many of those old doors! Rusty Gold! 🙂

How funny, Tom. I have seen this here in Germany, too. As I am a real “pickaholic” it was quite interesting for me. But the antics you have are much different from ours. We have a few more centuries of culture, sorry. But if they look for old rusty gold, then Kefalonia is the place to go. Thanks for your comment, have a wonderful day, regards Mitza

Yes, dear Mary, I’m really reminiscing a lot, still feel the warm sun of the Mediterranean when I look at my photos. Hope you are fine, have a nice day, regards Mitza

You will be happily occupied then with the sorting of photographs and reliving the moments. We had 34ºC here yesterday at harbour side but much hotter in the western suburbs. It will be a long hot summer. I’m keeping well if worn. Take care, Mx

34 degrees, that sounds great. Do you have the sea close to swim? I’m freezing since I came home. At night we have maybe 5 degrees and need some heating. How I hate autumn and winter. November in Hamburg, that’s suicide weather! Take care, too, Mitza

Yes, 34 again today. It’s too hot, really. I can’t swim but yes, there’s the ocean and a public pool nearby that I try not to fall in 🙂

We have rain and 16 degrees. But I still went with my bike. Have a good swim. Hope you have air-condition in your house/flat. 🙂

I had two of ceiling fans installed a couple of years ago when it became clear that 30+ degrees days are increasing each year. Last night’s minimum was 19ºC, about 67ºF.

I wish we had 19 at daytime. Today it was only raining, raining, raining, but I took my raincape and went with my bike 3 times and really enjoyed it. 🙂

Glad you made the best of it. Yesterday we had maximum 19 with a wind chill that made it feel cold. Sydney is like that now.

Do you have spring fever already? Here it’s only dark grey, no sun at all, only rain. Terrible. Longing for the endlessly blue sky in Greece

Feverish from overwork is more like it 🙂 There’s so much to do that I can never keep up. Unlike you I am looking forward to when things slow down 🙂

I love this montage of the micro-world, and it’s a joy to recognise one or two of the same species seen here inb Scotland – the Red Admiral and the Dor Beetle. I’m glad you enjoyed Greece too! kInd wishes, John

Yes, we have the Admiral in Germany, too, but not too often. In Greece they have a lot of beautiful huge butterflies and beetles. Greece is a very beautiful country where the sun is shining a lot, not like here where it’s dark grey and raining for days. Hope you have better weather, John, and thanks for your comment, regards Mitza
