Old doors X – Kefalonia/ Greece

Here are some more wonderful old doors from Greece. Due to the constant cold here in Northern Germany I’m longing for Greece and the warm sun, that you can see on the photos.

  1. nice collection Mitza 🙂
funny to see that you pay attention to the details of the doors while most of the time I take them for granted. There’s always more to explore 🙂
first two really look great, wonderful to have a small tree in front of the house 🙂

    • Thanks a lot, Pieter, for taking your time to look at all my doors. I’m a stickler for details and I see a lot which I want to show others, too. When you live in Greece it’s very common to have a beautiful tree in front of your house. 🙂

  3. I believe it has been said before. Doors carry great symbolic meaning:entrance and exits in the myriad stages of life including birth and death. I like the ones that appear to be the oldest, yet are wonderfully maintained. These are the doors that have character. Thank you, Mitza, your posts are always an inspiration to me!

    • I like people that think about things, even doors and feel that there is a symbolic meaning in them. And every door says something about the owner, too. You are completely right, Peter, these doors have character. Thanks for commenting, have a nice day, regards Mitza

    • Thank you very much for your kind words. I’m always happy to find a like minded person that loves doors, too. This blue color is my favorite, too and you can find a lot of blue color in Greece, not only the sea and the sky… Have a nice day, regards Mitza

  4. Your door or door knocker pictures are some of my favourite posts. They certainly are wonderful. I’m sorry Germany is so cold right now. I wish I could share some of my lovely Australian sunshine with you. Even our winter days are lovely. 🙂

Yes, I know, I have some more followers from Australia and they always tell me what wonderful weather you have. Gosh, Germany with Greek weather, that would be great, hehe

    • I’m sorry, I’m missing it, too, the sun, the sea, the color of the sky, the hospitable, friendly people. Where else do you find all this? Hope you can return sooner or later for some holidays, have a nice day, regards Mitza

    • I’m happy I could inspire you. I would be really interested to see some Norwegian doors. I know Swedish ones and I guess they are nearly the same. But Norway is a beautiful country. Thanks for looking into my blog, have a nice day, regards Mitza
