Here are some more wonderful old doors from Greece. Due to the constant cold here in Northern Germany I’m longing for Greece and the warm sun, that you can see on the photos.
nice collection Mitza 🙂
funny to see that you pay attention to the details of the doors while most of the time I take them for granted. There’s always more to explore 🙂
first two really look great, wonderful to have a small tree in front of the house 🙂
Thanks a lot, Pieter, for taking your time to look at all my doors. I’m a stickler for details and I see a lot which I want to show others, too. When you live in Greece it’s very common to have a beautiful tree in front of your house. 🙂
thanks a lot for commenting, I have never found two doors that look the same in Greece. It’s an incredible amount of designs. Have a nice day, regards Mitza
Fab – u – lous !! love them Mitza 🙂
my eyes keep wandering back to the ones with Blue, very nice! I think you have 10 -15 days of Cold …. then things will warm ? by March 30 it can’t still be this cold!!
Thanks a lot, Debi. Greek doors can be very colorful and blue is one of their favorite colors, mine, too. I hope that at Easter (end of this month) we don’t have to look for Easter eggs in the snow, hehe
I believe it has been said before. Doors carry great symbolic meaning:entrance and exits in the myriad stages of life including birth and death. I like the ones that appear to be the oldest, yet are wonderfully maintained. These are the doors that have character. Thank you, Mitza, your posts are always an inspiration to me!
I like people that think about things, even doors and feel that there is a symbolic meaning in them. And every door says something about the owner, too. You are completely right, Peter, these doors have character. Thanks for commenting, have a nice day, regards Mitza
Thank you very much for your kind words. I’m always happy to find a like minded person that loves doors, too. This blue color is my favorite, too and you can find a lot of blue color in Greece, not only the sea and the sky… Have a nice day, regards Mitza
I can well imagine that you feel like getting sunshine and summer. Your door photos are quite special Mitza and beautiful, also intriguing to know what is behind them 🙂
I would always count my life in summers, like the First Nations, dear Agnes. The sun gives us heartwarming feelings. Thanks for liking my post, have a nice day, kind regards Mitza
Your door or door knocker pictures are some of my favourite posts. They certainly are wonderful. I’m sorry Germany is so cold right now. I wish I could share some of my lovely Australian sunshine with you. Even our winter days are lovely. 🙂
Thank you for commenting and liking my door pictures so much, Jane. It’s always good to find others that like the same things. Yes, I know, I have some more followers from Australia and they always tell me what wonderful weather you have. Gosh, Germany with Greek weather, that would be great, hehe
Thanks a lot for commenting and liking old doors, too. There are quite a lot of fans for old doors. I have posted a lot of old doors with wonderful iron works from the late fifties in my blog. Have a nice day, regards Mitza
I’m sorry, I’m missing it, too, the sun, the sea, the color of the sky, the hospitable, friendly people. Where else do you find all this? Hope you can return sooner or later for some holidays, have a nice day, regards Mitza
I love old doors (well actually doors in general) and your pictures are so inspiring. Maybe I will make Norwegian doors in to a summer project for my blog 🙂
I’m happy I could inspire you. I would be really interested to see some Norwegian doors. I know Swedish ones and I guess they are nearly the same. But Norway is a beautiful country. Thanks for looking into my blog, have a nice day, regards Mitza
Beautiful doors and photos Mitza. They definitely make me want to visit Greece! 🙂

In the third picture . . . is the house partially underground, or is the foliage growing on the roof of a regular house?
Virtual hugs,

the house was built very low and was decayed a lot, the foliage is not growing on the roof, it’s a bit farther in the background, Judi

Thanks for commenting, Thomas. You can find these stones at some beaches. I have seen a lot in Kefalonia. They are very beautiful. 🙂

I’ve paid up to $80 for one. They are not cheap here, but are, like you say, very beautiful! 🙂

Gosh, Thomas, if I knew that I would have brought one for you, but they are heavy. This summer you have to fly to Greece to find stones:)
