Hello dear friends, followers and readers. I’m back from Greece with a lot of wonderful experiences. My Greek compatriots have been very kind, helpful, generous and hospitable to me. I got a lot of wonderful grapes, melons, wine, fresh eggs etc. as presents. This year was the first that I got olive oil from my own trees which are nearly 15 years old now. I used it every day for fresh Greek salads with sheep cheese or some other food, and it was really delicious and healthy.
The sun has been very generous, too, except for two days with heavy, really very heavy thunderstorms. Then the sky is really dramatic with wonderful clouds. But usually the sky is very intense blue in Greece which always makes good mood and the sun warms-up the sea and the air. I always have the feeling that the air is soft like velvet in Greece and the entire island has a smell of wild herbs and plants, especially in the evening.
Our studio was fantastic, modern, comfortable, and very clean. We had a good view over the sea to the mountains on the other side of the island from our balcony. It was very calm and our host tried to fulfill all our necessities.
I wish I could have stayed longer, but as we say here: everything has an end, only the sausage has two. I have made about 1000 photos which I have to process in the following weeks. Today I still have some old doors from Kefalonia from the last years for you.
Welcome back! We’ve missed your posts! ;->
Virtual hugs,
Judie

Thanks a lot, Debi. I’m freezing here a lot. The Mediterranean climate is something different to ours. I’m not yet here, my mind is still in Greece and my old body has to be here, sigh. Hope you’re fine, regards Mitza

You’re right, dear Mary, with the olive oil. You wouldn’t believe how many olive trees you can find in Kefalonia. My mind doesn’t want to return and is still swaying over Greece, and my body has to endure the cold climate here. Hope you are fine, dear Mary, have a nice day, regards Mitza

It’s a brilliant sun shiny day in Sydney; we’ve just moved to daylight saving time which I love. Sorry that you now have the cold but I guess we have to take turns 🙂 Have a good weekend. Mx

Love the door with the purple flowers.
I love Greece, as well, and like you, I hate the cold. (but I love Canada 🇨🇦 even with the dreadful winters!)

Beautiful and interesting doors! My favorite is the door with a hand knocker. I’ve never been to Greece but I really would like to go there someday.
